9/11 Memorial Glade Coin

The 9/11 Memorial Glade is dedicated to the responders, recovery workers, residents, and survivors who are suffering and dying from illnesses and injuries caused by exposure to toxins and hazardous conditions at Ground Zero. It also recognizes the tremendous capacity of the human spirit exemplified during rescue and recovery efforts at all three attack sites in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks. The Glade honors all who came to help and to heal, giving hope to a wounded city, the nation, and the world.

Embedded in this coin is a fragment taken from the hand-crafted granite monoliths that now stand on the 9/11 Memorial Glade.
