On the morning of September 11, 2001, the FDNY initiated its response to the World Trade Center immediately after hijacked Flight 11 struck the North Tower. Firefighters, including those who were off-duty, responded throughout the day. On 9/11, 343 of New York's Bravest would lose their lives in the line of duty at the World Trade Center. Their fortitude and sacrifice will never be forgotten. The 9/11 Memorial and Museum are possible only through your support.
