8:30 AM: Moments before the first plane hit the North Tower, photographer David Monderer, took this image of New York City skyline against the brilliant blue sky. Twenty years later, the image was taken from the exact same place it was on September 11th. The image from September 11, 2001 is on view in the museum and is part of the collection of the National September 11 Memorial and Museum.
