Located within a forest of hundreds of swamp white oak trees, two memorial pools, each just under an acre in size, now sit where the Twin Towers once stood. The pools are inverse fountains, with waterfalls cascading down the inner walls of each pool and then falling a second time in to a center void. The sound of these two massive waterfalls creates a sanctuary enabling a focus on the incised names, surrounding the pools, of the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terrorist attacks.
