This motorcycle commemorates the rebuilding of the World Trade Center. It was commissioned by Daniel Tishman, whose family’s company, Tishman Construction, supervised much of the rebuilding as well as the construction of the original World Trade Center. Designed and built by Paul Teutul, Jr., the bike has been featured on the television show American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior.
The design pays tribute to the architecture of the rebuilt World Trade Center site in lower Manhattan. The spokes of the front wheel evoke the structure of One World Trade Center, while the ribbed gas tank resembles the facade of the Oculus, the focal point of the new World Trade Center Transportation Hub. The mirror finish in the back wheel represents the two reflecting pools of the 9/11 Memorial.
